1. Log in to DreamHost panel to view your DreamHost DNS records.
Visit www.dreamhost.com/ and click on "Login" at the top right corner.
Enter your username and password to access your account.
2. Navigate to the Manage Website page.
Click the Manage button to open the Domain Settings page, which allows you to adjust various settings for your site
3. Click the Hosting tab on the next page.
Under the Non-Hosting Options section, click Set to DNS Only section to expand.
Click the “Set to DNS Only” button that appears.
Click the red “Yes”, Remove button that appears to confirm the selection.
4. To change the DNS Settings.
5. Add or Modify the:
A Record:
Click the Add Record button.
Hover over the A Record section and click the ADD link
Update the “Points to” field to: 66.45.103.234 (Zarla’s IP address).
Click the Add Record button to save
CNAME Record:
Click the Add Record button.
Hover over the CNAME Record section and click the ADD link.
Update the “Points to” field to: custom.zarla.com
Click the Add Record button to save
6. Verify the Changes
Wait for the DNS changes to propagate. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to few hours.
Important Note:
For Root domain with name @ (example.com):
Only one A record should exist.
There should be no AAAA record (this is rare, but if present, it can break SSL certificates).
For www subdomain (www.example.com):
Should have only one CNAME record (pointing to the correct target www).
If any A, AAAA, or additional CNAME records exist, they must be deleted.
