Using a domain registered at DreamHost

Follow these simple steps to point your Cheaper domain to your website

1. Log in to DreamHost panel to view your DreamHost DNS records.

  • Visit www.dreamhost.com/ and click on "Login" at the top right corner.

  • Enter your username and password to access your account.

2. Navigate to the Manage Website page.

  • Click the Manage button to open the Domain Settings page, which allows you to adjust various settings for your site

3. Click the Hosting tab on the next page.

  • Under the Non-Hosting Options section, click Set to DNS Only section to expand.

  • Click the “Set to DNS Only” button that appears.

  • Click the red “Yes”, Remove button that appears to confirm the selection.

4. To change the DNS Settings.

  • Navigate to the Manage Websites page.

  • Open the DNS Settings page

5. Add or Modify the:

  • A Record:

    • Click the Add Record button.

    • Hover over the A Record section and click the ADD link

    • Update the “Points to” field to: 109.105.219.109 (Zarla’s IP address).

    • Click the Add Record button to save

  • CNAME Record:

    • Click the Add Record button.

    • Hover over the CNAME Record section and click the ADD link.

    • Update the “Points to” field to:custom.zarlasites.com

    • Click the Add Record button to save

6. Verify the Changes

Wait for the DNS changes to propagate. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to : Test the Domain

7. Test the Domain

Open a web browser and navigate to your domain to ensure it resolves to the Zarla site.
