Using a domain registered at Google

Soon all Google Domains will be managed by Squarespace. But for now, these instructions still work if you registered your domain at Google.

1. Log in to your Google Domains account.
2. Click on Manage next to your domain name.
3. Then click on DNS in the left sidebar.
4. Scroll all the way down to a section called Custom Records, or Custom Resource Records, and click on "create new record."

Fill out out like this screenshot:

Leave the Host name field blank, choose A in the dropdown menu, leave the TTL field as-is, and in the Data field type: 109.105.219.109

Then click "Save."

5. Next, click on "create new record" one more time.

For this record, type www in the Host name field, choose CNAME in the dropdown menu, leave the TTL field as-is, and in the Data field type custom.zarlasites.com and click "Save."

6. Lastly, if you see any other A records that exist besides the A record you just created, please delete those records. You only need a single A record, and it should be pointing to 109.105.219.109

Once you've finished all those steps, please let us know and we'll check that it is all pointed correctly and set your domain live.
