Using a domain registered at Network Solutions

To connect your domain, your website must be published and active. If it’s unpublished, go to your site, click ‘Go Live,’ and subscribe.

1. Log in to your Account Manager at Network Solutions.
2. Select Domain Name from the sidebar on the left side of the page.
3. Click on the domain name you want to use
4. Scroll down that page and click on the Advanced Tools section


5. Click Manage next to "Advanced DNS Records"

6. A new page will open. Find the existing A record with a '@' next to it and click the pencil icon to edit it.


7. Replace the existing IP address (in the Value field) with this one for Zarla: 66.45.103.234. Leave all other fields the same.

8. Click the Edit button to save your changes.

9. Next, look for an existing CNAME record with 'www' next to it. If you see one, click the pencil icon to edit it.

10. Change the Value to custom.zarla.com and leave all other settings the same.

11. Click the Edit button to save your changes.

If you don't see an existing CNAME record, then you'll need to create one.

Important Note:

  • For Root domain with name @ (example.com):

    • Only one A record should exist.

    • There should be no AAAA record (this is rare, but if present, it can break SSL certificates).

  • For www subdomain (www.example.com):

    • Should have only one CNAME record (pointing to the correct target www).

    • If any A, AAAA, or additional CNAME records exist, they must be deleted.
