Using a domain registered at Squarespace

You'll need add both a new A Record and a new CNAME Record to your Squarespace domain. Please follow the instructions below:

To add your A Record

1. Click here to go to the Domains panel in Squarespace (you'll probably need to log in). You should see a page that looks similar to this:

If that link doesn't work just log into your Squarespace account and click on "Settings" in the sidebar, and then click on the "Domains" option.

2. Once you can see a section titled "Domains managed by Squarespace" go ahead and click on the domain you'd like to use with your Zarla website.

You should see a page like this:

Delete your Squarespace Default Settings by clicking on the red trash can icon next to those default records.

3. Scroll down to the Custom Records section and click "Add Record" then enter the information below:

  • In the Host field, enter @

  • In the Type drop-down menu, select A

  • In the Data field, enter 109.105.219.109

Then click "Save." Your new domain record should look like this:

4. Lastly, add one more record in the Custom Records section using the following details:

  • In the Host field, enter www

  • In the Type drop-down menu, select CNAME

  • In the Data field, enter custom.zarlasites.com

After clicking "Save" you should have these two custom records:

Once you've finished these steps, please let us know and we'll finish the process to make your domain live on our end.
