Using a domain registered at Register.com

To connect your domain, your website must be published and active. If it’s unpublished, go to your site, click ‘Go Live,’ and subscribe.

Updated this week

Log into your account at Register.com where you purchased your domain and create a new CNAME record by following these steps:

  1. Select Domains on the left side of the page.

  2. Select the domain name you want to change (americanbestfacility.com)

  3. On the domain page, go down to Advanced Tools.

  4. Click Manage next to Advanced DNS Records.

  5. In the Host Aliases (CNAME Records) section, click the Edit CNAME Records.

  6. Add a CNAME record with the following details:
    Host: www
    Value: custom.zarla.com

  7. Click Continue.

  8. A confirmation page appears that verifies your records were updated. Review the information carefully, and then click Save Changes.

After adding your CNAME record, please make a change to the A Record on that same Manage page by following these steps:

  1. Find the IP Address (A Records) section, and click Edit A Records.

  2. Change your existing A Record to the following (leave all other fields as they are now):
    Value: 66.45.103.234

  3. Click Continue.

  4. A confirmation page appears that verifies your records were updated. Review the information carefully, and then click Save Changes.

Important Note:

  • For Root domain with name @ (example.com):

    • Only one A record should exist.

    • There should be no AAAA record (this is rare, but if present, it can break SSL certificates).

  • For www subdomain (www.example.com):

    • Should have only one CNAME record (pointing to the correct target www).

    • If any A, AAAA, or additional CNAME records exist, they must be deleted.

Once both A name and CNAME have been added, please contact our Customer Success Team.
