Using a domain registered at Cheaper Domain

Follow these simple steps to point your Cheaper domain to your website

  1. Log in to the Client Area:

    1. Visit cheaperdomains.com.au and click on "Login" at the top right corner.

    2. Enter your username and password to access your account.

  2. Access DNS Management:

    • Once logged in, navigate to the "Domains" tab.

    • From the dropdown menu, select "DNS Management" to view your domain's DNS records.

  3. Modify the

    1. A Record:

      1. In the DNS management page, locate the existing A Record for your domain (e.g., yourdomainname.org).

      2. Click the "Edit" option next to the A Record.

      3. Update the IP Address field to: 109.105.219.109 (Zarla’s IP address).

    2. 'www' CNAME Record:

      1. In the DNS records list, find the CNAME Record for the "www" subdomain (e.g., www.yourdomainname.org).

      2. Click the "Edit" option next to the "www" CNAME Record.

      3. Update the Target field to: custom.zarlasites.com.

    3. Save the changes by clicking the "Save" button.

  4. Add Records if They Don't Exist:

    • If the A Record or 'www' CNAME Record doesn't exist:

      • Scroll to the bottom of the DNS records list and click the "Add New DNS Record" button.

      • For the A Record:

        • Type: A

        • Name: @ (or leave blank, depending on the interface)

        • Value: 109.105.219.109

      • For the 'www' CNAME Record:

        • Type: CNAME

        • Name: www

        • Value: custom.zarlasites.com

      • After entering the details, click the "Save" button to apply the new records.

  5. Propagation Time:
    Please note that DNS changes can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate globally.
