Using a domain registered at Register.it

To connect your domain, your website must be published and active. If it’s unpublished, go to your site, click ‘Go Live,’ and subscribe.

  1. Log in to your Register.it account.

  2. Access the domain management section in Domain & DNS

3. Open the DNS Settings

4. Select Advance Options

5. Modify or Add a Record

  • A Records type,

    1. You can either edit an existing record or add a new one:

      1. To edit: Click on the existing A record you want to modify.

      2. To add a new record: Look for the option to add a new record and select "A".

    2. Fill in the required fields:

      1. Name: Leave blank

      2. Value: Enter the IP 66.45.103.234 (Zarla’s IP address).

    3. Save the changes.

  • CNAME Records type,

    1. You can either edit an existing record or add a new one:

      1. To edit: Click on the CNAME record you need to update.

      2. To add a new record: Look for the option to add a new record and select "CNAME".

    2. Fill in the required fields:

      1. Host Name: type www

      2. Value: custom.zarla.com

    3. Save the changes.

6. DNS changes may take up to 24 hours to fully propagate.

Important Note:

  • For Root domain with name @ (example.com):

    • Only one A record should exist.

    • There should be no AAAA record (this is rare, but if present, it can break SSL certificates).

  • For www subdomain (www.example.com):

    • Should have only one CNAME record (pointing to the correct target www).

    • If any A, AAAA, or additional CNAME records exist, they must be deleted.
