Step 3: Add an A Record (Points to an IP Address)
An A Record connects your domain to a server using an IP address.

In your DNS Zone File, look for A Records or Add Record.
Click Add New A Record (or similar).

TTL | Default is fine |
Click Save or Add Record.
Step 4: Add a CNAME Record (Points to a URL / Hostname)
A CNAME Record points a hostname (like www) to another domain name.
Steps:
In the DNS Zone File, find CNAME Records.
Click Add New CNAME.
Fill in:
Field | Value |
Host / Alias | www |
Type | CNAME |
Points To / Target | custom.zarla.com |
TTL | Leave default |
Click Save.
Important Note:
For Root domain with name @ (example.com):
Only one A record should exist.
There should be no AAAA record (this is rare, but if present, it can break SSL certificates).
For www subdomain (www.example.com):
Should have only one CNAME record (pointing to the correct target www).
If any A, AAAA, or additional CNAME records exist, they must be deleted.
Once both A name and CNAME have been added, please contact our Customer Success Team.
